  • Deliver sales and margin plans for the business unit. Ability to function within varying deadlines across multiple calendars. Aptitude to work both independently and as a part of the team
  • Create line strategy and develop seasonal line plans that support sales and margin plans and store type plans. Utilize this information to build and present seasonal strategies to our cross functional partners. Collaborate with merchandising to communicate business needs to design
  • Build style level assortment plans with APS, Sell thru, and WOS metrics that roll to the corporate financial targets
  • Partner with planners to build seasonal financial plans that support the merchandising strategy
  • Manage and react to in-season sales and inventory weekly with pricing, visual, and allocation strategies Report business results and actions to leadership weekly
  • Manage purchase orders, initiate weekly price changes in the system, partner with visual and store operations to communicate changes to the field
  • Analyze business trends as needed by gathering data and quickly summarizing it to draw conclusions and take action
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop seasonal marketing collateral that supports the merchandising strategy and financial plans
  • Partner with visual team pre-season and in-season to create detailed floor plans and visual statements that support the promotional cadence
  • Actively participate in weekly meetings with cross functional partners to react to in-season business and plan future seasons
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly business hindsights/recaps to capture accurate financial and selling history
  • Seasonal Buy Review preparation and presentations to Leadership Team and cross functional partners
  • Collaborate with Assistant Buyer and Allocation partners to ensure inner office functions and responsibilities are efficient and effective
  • Competitive shop on a monthly basis to review competitor pricing and key item strategies
Experience and Skills
  • Bachelors degree required
  • 1-3 years assistant buyer experience required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of retail math and analytics, merchandising principles, product knowledge
  • Oral and written communication, critical thinking, time management, analytical comprehension
  • Multi Task, detail oriented, decisive and team oriented
